
DIY Natural Tinted Lip Balm Recipe
Here’s a simple DIY natural and toxin free tinted lip balm recipe that’s moisturising and gives a subtle color to your lips. For plain lip balm simply exclude the colour options.

Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp beeswax pellets (or candelilla wax for a vegan version)
- 1 tbsp coconut oil (or shea butter for extra hydration)
- 1 tbsp sweet almond oil (or jojoba oil)
For NaturalTint
¼ tsp natural colorant (choose from the following):
- Beetroot powder (rosy red).or
- Cocoa powder (brown/nude tint) or
- Mica powder (shimmery shades) or
- Cinnamon powder (warm tone & plumping effect) warning do not sell (personal use only in case of irritation, if irritation occurs stop use immediately)
Instructions:
1. Melt the wax and oils:
In a double boiler (or a glass bowl over simmering water), melt the beeswax (or candelilia wax), coconut oil, and sweet almond oil together. Stir until fully melted.
2. Add the colorant:
Remove from heat and mix in your chosen natural colorant. Stir well to avoid clumps.
3. Pour into containers:
Quickly pour the mixture into lip balm tubes or small tins before it hardens.
4. Let it set:
Allow the balm to cool and solidify at room temperature (about 30 minutes).
5. Use & enjoy!
Apply as needed for soft, tinted lips.
